“Non Plus Ultra” is the 4th album for the duo Lilly B and Joa H from Düsseldorf. Despite its simplicity, it is more than just minimal. A trained ear will hear electropop, a bit of synth wave and especially a polished version of the Neue Deutsche Welle sound in its most premature form. The result is stimulating, simple in design but very effective. Melodies that immediately make you happy and that say so much in their lyrics.
“Non Plus Ultra” is het 4de album voor het duo Lilly B en Joa H uit Düsseldorf. Ondanks zijn eenvoud is het meer dan alleen maar minimal. Een geoefend oor hoort electro pop, een beetje synth wave en vooral een opgepoetste versie van het Neue Deutsche Welle geluid in zijn meest premature vorm. Het resultaat is verkwikkend, simpel in zijn opzet maar o zo doeltreffend. Melodietjes die je instant happy maken en in hun wat abstracte teksten toch zo veel zeggen.
