The Italian duo Schonwald has become one of the 'hotshots' in the European dark underground scene. The new album 'Night Idyll' excels in minimalist, synthetic and hypnotic atmospheres reminiscent of legendary bands like 'Cocteau Twins', 'Jesus and Mary Chain', and 'Suicide'. It breathes the spirit of the eighties but is just as comparable to bands of today such as: Soft Moon, Kvb etc. There is a perfect balance between dream pop, shoegaze and post punk. The songs are carried by sonic guitars, driving danceable beats, and the sensual, sometimes ethereal, sometimes childish vocals of Alessandra.

Het nieuwe album 'Night Idyll' munt uit in minimalistische, synthetische en hypnotiserende sferen die doen denken aan legendarische bands als 'Cocteau Twins', 'Jesus and Mary Chain', en 'Suicide'. Het ademt de geest van de jaren 80 maar is net zo goed vergelijkbaar met bands van nu zoals: Soft Moon, Kvb etc. Er is een perfecte balans tussen dreampop, shoegaze en postpunk. De songs worden gedragen door sonisch klinkende gitaren, stuwende dansbare beats, en de sensuele, soms etherische, soms kinderlijke zang van Alessandra.
